Got this for my puppy for after her spay surgery based off of good reviews. I followed the size chart for back length (she’s a little over 12 inches from back of neck to where her tail starts) but she’s a skinny little thing so the Medium ended up being too big and I needed it the day it arrived so I wasn’t able to exchange. I crisscross the back straps to make it tighter as another reviewer mentioned, but it’s large enough so her front legs come out of it while sleeping. The fabric frays easily from being stuck on the Velcro so I can’t see this lasting longer than the few weeks I intended it for, but it’s definitely still been useful for us- she hasn’t been loving the E-collar we got from the vet’s office. Overall a good cheap option.

If your pup is getting spayed or neutered, I highly recommend this product. Your fur baby will be able to truly rest comfortably after surgery. The velcro openings make it easy to free up the area when you take your pet to use the bathroom. We had a double spay day and tried the cones. This product let my girls sleep soundly, and kept them from licking wounds on their bonded sister. I found them to be well made, and true to measurement. One of my best purchases to date.

This is a great alternative to the cone collar. Our micro dachshund pup was not sleeping well with the soft $27 see-through cone from another store so we found this. We first ordered extra small and had to exchange it for the small, which is roomy but if you criss cross the back flaps it helps. the other nice thing is we were having to take the cone off every time he ate and now with this he can just eat or drink and play whenever he wants. The puppy had two surgeries so this protects his abdominal scar and his testicle scar nicely.

I wasn't sure about the suit when we first got it for our dog to keep her from licking her incision after her operation. The vet had recommended this and I am so glad she did as it worked great. The velcro closures worked great as well so you could simply move part of the suit out of the way when our dog had to urinate. It did not interfere at all with defecation either. We washed it several times and it retained its shape and elasticity throughout the recovery period. It must seem like a sweater that you may put on your pet on cold days as our dog seemed to take to it without any issues. She wore it until she was fully healed and never once did she try to get it off.
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a pet about to undergo surgery of any kind.

I bought this suit (and another suit with a lot of good reviews) for my 35lb goldendoodle. Overall I like this suit better because of the looser fit and this one is easier to put on the dog. I bought size xl without measuring my pup. The flaps that connect around the rear legs are loose (I can still make it work) but if I was reordering for this pup I would get a large. I'm still very happy with this item and plan on buying another one when my other pup gets spayed.

Our Goldie had abdominal surgery and even though he does very well with a cone, we purchased this to give him a break.... as well as our walls and the backs of our legs.
When going outside for potty, I didn't use the strap located on the belly. It worked well enough for me to pull the rear straps through the front legs and then re-velcro them to the same spot, only with the shirt rolled towards the front.
The only concern I have is that the "Velcro"(it's far better than Velcro) seems stronger than the shirt fabric. The Velcro fasteners are exceptional, but I worry that the shirt will fail at/around the Velcro and may not make it past a week or two of use.
Best part is that it doesn't run on the tummy area where his incision is.
